Science in the City

AUSTRALIA’S LARGEST SCIENCE EVENT FOR STUDENTS!
Developing new medicines and technologies, understanding biodiversity and climate change, exploring the outer reaches of the universe and much, much more - Science in the City at the celebrates the many contributions science makes to society. 

Science in the City at the Australian Museum brings you exciting exhibits, captivating shows, hands-on workshops and engaging talks about what is happening in science today and what can happen tomorrow!

This is a fantastic opportunity to get your students involved in science which surrounds them every day. Activities include talks and shows by some of Australia’s top presenters, hands-on workshops and the Science in the City EXPO where real live scientists are on hand to answer questions, talk shop and explain what they do everyday – not all of them wear lab coats and glasses!

Bookings are essential for these popular activities and numbers are limited - so please book early to avoid disappointment!

Science in the City goes to Narrabri, Cooerwull, Khancoban...

Science in the City at the Australian Museum has been a favourite excursion for students in Sydney since it began in 2001. In the past eight years over 30 000 high school and primary school students have come to the Australian Museum in the lead up to National Science Week to do hands on workshops, science shows and visit the Science in the City Expo. In 2009 the event covered the entire state! »»
